The 12 Olympians

Hello All

Just a quick announcement to say that i will be moving my blogging activity over to a new site.

We the Twelve Olympians are a group of gamers and painters. Many of us ran blogs of our own (Da Mekshop and BLOODYdice for example) and as time went by and our group grew we started taking on larger projects than ever before, each of us helping each other out where we could with a sweet paint job, list advice etc. After Bristol Vanguard’s Vanquish, a  Warhammer 40k tournament in April, we as a group, wanted to share our experiences of the tournament. To this end, we decided to combine our blogging efforts together so that we can achieve greater things and put on larger events then any of us could on our own.

Ork Big Trakk

So its been a while since i’ve posted on here but a lot of work has been going on. A group from our local gaming store are going down to a tournament called Vanquish held by Bristol Vanguard. This has been quite a nice incentive to get the army ready and has been driving me forwards recently with this project.

Finally managed to get some pictures of these guys now that they are finished. I’m very happy with how this army is progressing now. I have already made a start on the large boyz squad and the battlewagon is on its way.

Pulsa rokkit showcase

Having completed this project a while ago I realised that I have not done posted any of the completed pictures on here. Overall i am happy with how this model came out, however with the new apoc rules no longer having a pulsa rokkit i will have to wait to use this. Click more to see the pictures.

Ork Nob Bikers

So since I finished putting these guys together last weekend I have been busy making little bits and pieces of progress with the unit. This weekend I finally managed to sit down and get a few hours of painting done. The results can be seen below

Today I have finally gotten around to putting together my ork nob bikers who are going to accompany my warboss. I’ve used the forgeworld kits as I love the models, however I have made a few changes due to the way I want them armed.

The story so far

So I’ve started to make a bit of progress on the speed freaks army I picked up again recently. The main focus at the start has been to get the first 2 boyz mobz finished before moving on to the other parts.

After a bit of a break this summer from painting orks I have begun to make progress on the speed freaks army I was meant to start earlier this year. I now have a loose plan for what I want in the army at least to begin with.
